Is this all that I’ll become in life?
Is this all I’ll ever be?

Have I reached the end of my story?
The Fairytale of Me?

There are tasks that still need doing and oh so many things to see!
Did I really just run out of time?
I’m not ready yet to leave.

Maybe if I keep busy, if I try my hardest to pretend,
I could fix the things I’d broken, that there’d be time to make amends.

But alas the sun is setting, all the ink’s run from my pen…
No happily ever after, it’s goodnight, goodbye
