• As I Gently Slipped Away

  Peacefully at home tonight,
  surrounded by family and friends,
  my final words are spoken as I reach the very end.

  The quiet room is fading
  like twilight’s yawning gray,
  then silence rushed, it rumbled and roared
  as I gently slipped away.
